Let me start off by saying as with other Smartwool products I'm satisfied with the purchase in ways I could not anticipate. Merino lined chamois - who knew? You did, obviously. I've been a steadfast consumer of Endura cycling shorts for 15 years. I decided to try the Betasso because I liked the styling and other Smartwool products have worked out well for me. I'm very please with the shorts after my first two rides in them. The chamois fits well and is extremely comfortable. External pockets are well placed and keep their contents out of the way when cycling.
