These socks are perfect for walking long distances. I bought them to walk across the continental US with and have not been disappointed. They are light weight enough that my feet don't get too hot, and I didn't get a single blister the entire time I wore them - and that's walking 20 miles (sometimes more) a day! I was extremely sad when my socks wore out and I couldn't find a store to carry them. Next time I need socks, which I will since I'm only in Iowa of a cross-country trek, I will definitely order these ahead and ship them to myself, rather than fumble along with inferior socks.
