SMARTWOOL EVENTS SWEEPSTAKES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. 

Sponsor:  Smartwool, a division of VF Outdoor, LLC, 1551 Wewatta St., Denver, CO 80202.


Open only to legal U.S. residents, 18 years of age or older. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, or of any agencies/entities involved in the development, production or administration of the Sweepstakes are not eligible to enter or win a prize. In addition, employees, officers and directors of Life Time, Inc. or exhibitors/sponsors of Denver Colfax Marathon are not eligible to enter or win a prize.


Sweepstakes is offered only at Grant Park – Butler Field 100 S Lake Shore Dr. Chicago, IL 60601 AND Empower Field at Mile High, 1701 Bryant Street; Denver, CO 80204. Void elsewhere and where prohibited by law.


By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.

Sponsor’s computer is the official clock for all purposes of the Sweepstakes.


   

  • HOW TO ENTER:


Visit the Smartwool activation area at Denver Colfax Marathon or the Life Time Chicago Spring Half Marathon & 10K (“Events”) during the Sweepstakes Period. (You may access the Smartwool activation area even if you are not registered for or participating in either events.) You must enter online at the designated website.

TO ENTER WITHOUT AGREEING TO RECEIVE PROMOTIONAL MARKETING E-MAILS FROM SMARTWOOL:  Print your name and e-mail address (if any) on a clipboard with a Smartwool associate in the tent.  Receipt of entry will not be acknowledged and mail entry will not be returned.

If entering via clipboard, your personal information will only be used purposes of Sweepstakes administration, including winner notification (if applicable) in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at  https://www.smartwool.com/en-us/privacy-policy.html. By entering, you agree to the terms of Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.

Before entering the Sweepstakes, you are encouraged to review Sponsor’s privacy policy, accessible at https://www.smartwool.com/en-us/privacy-policy.html, addressing how Sponsor handles consumer personal information.


†The opportunity to access the survey and thereafter enter the Sweepstakes is offered a first come, first served basis and is not guaranteed.  Sponsor makes no representation, warranty or guarantee of any kind that all persons who visit the Smartwool activation area at the Events during the Sweepstakes Period will have an opportunity to access the survey and enter the Sweepstakes, with Sponsor disclaiming any and all liability in conjunction therewith under any legal theory.


‡While the survey must be completed in order to enter, the nature of an individual’s survey responses will not affect their ability to enter the Sweepstakes or their odds of winning a prize.


  • ENTRY RESTRICTIONS:
  • Limit of one (1) entry per person. Violation of entry limit will result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes and all of their entries will be void.
  • Use of automated, programmed or like means of participation in the Sweepstakes is prohibited. 
  • Proof of submission of entry (that is, the completed survey as well as additional information) does not constitute proof of receipt of same or proof of entry.
  • Receipt of entry may be acknowledged but such acknowledgment is not binding upon Sponsor.  The preceding includes any statement made by Smartwool brand ambassadors at the Smartwool activation area.
  • Any dispute as to the identity of entrant will be resolved by Sponsor in its sole discretion.


  • WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION:


  • One (1) potential prize winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received.  Sponsor will conduct the random drawing on or Tuesday, May 19, 2026 
  • Potential prize winner will be notified by e-mail and will be required to sign a Declaration of Eligibility, Liability Release and a Publicity Release (where legal) to be returned within three (3) business days of date of notification.
  • If a potential prize winner cannot be notified by Sponsor despite commercially reasonable efforts to do so; if he/she/they fail(s) to timely return the signed Declaration/Release; or if Sponsor determines that he/she is ineligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules, the corresponding prize will be forfeited without compensation of any kind. In the event of prize forfeiture, Sponsor may award the corresponding prize to an alternate winner selected in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries received.

Odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received.


  • PRIZE RESTRICTIONS:


  • Limit of one (1) prize per family, household or address.



  • Prize elements may be subject to availability as to color and size (where not otherwise indicated).

 

  • Prize must be accepted by winner as awarded. Winner must accept the prize in its entirety or not at all. If winner declines prize for any reason, no alternate prize or compensation will be awarded.


  • Prize will only be shipped to a street address in the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia (to be provided by winner in the Declaration/Release as per Rule 4 above). Sponsor reserves the right to award the elements comprising the Prize Pack via multiple shipments.


  • No prize substitution permitted except by Sponsor due to unavailability of prize/prize element for any reason and only then for prize/prize element of equal or greater value.


  • Prize is not transferable except with Sponsor’s permission, which may be granted or withheld in Sponsor’s sole discretion and without liability of any kind.


  • Prize is NOT redeemable or exchangeable by winner for cash.


  • Taxes on prize and any unspecified expenses in accepting/using prize are the winner’s sole responsibility.


  • ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:


  • By participating, entrant releases and agrees to hold harmless (i) Sponsor, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates; (ii) any agencies/entities involved in the development, production or administration of the Sweepstakes; and (iii) the directors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns of any of the above organizations from any and all liability arising from the Sweepstakes or the receipt, acceptance, use or misuse of the prize.


  • By accepting prize, where legal, winner agrees to the use of their name, photograph, likeness, voice, nickname and other indicia of their identity/persona for advertising/trade/publicity purposes by Sponsor without further compensation or notice.

  • Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, illegible/garbled, inaccessible, corrupted, incomplete, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries, all of which are void. Sponsor is also not responsible for programming, electronic, technological, telephonic, network or other malfunction, error or failure which in any way affects or interferes with the operation of the Sweepstakes; for entries not timely received or not received in a usable format for any reason; or for Sponsor’s inability to contact a potential winner despite engaging in commercially reasonable efforts to do so (e.g., winner notification e-mail being categorized as “SPAM” or “Junk” by an entrant’s e-mail service provider or not being delivered altogether).
  • If Sweepstakes cannot be conducted as originally planned due to any cause beyond Sponsor’s control (e.g., computer virus, act of fraud, natural disaster, civil commotion, riot, strike, act of governmental body [whether or not upheld as being lawful], act of terrorism or the threat of same), Sponsor may cancel/suspend/modify Sweepstakes and determine the winner from among all eligible entries received prior to and/or after the action taken by Sponsor (as appropriate) or otherwise in a manner determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion to be fair, appropriate and consistent with these Official Rules. Notice of such action will be posted at the Smartwool activation area at the Events to the extent feasible and, if not feasible, on www.smartwool.com. 


  • Tampering with Sweepstakes, anti-social/belligerent/aggressive conduct at the Smartwool activation area or violation of these Official Rules will result in automatic disqualification from the Sweepstakes; however, the preceding shall not represent the sole remedy available to Sponsor.


  • Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules is NOT a waiver of such provision.


  • Any dispute or claim regarding the Sweepstakes will be resolved pursuant to the internal, substantive law of the State of Delaware. Any such dispute/claim must be brought individually (NOT as part of a class action) in the federal or state courts in the State of Delaware with recovery being limited to one’s actual costs in participating in the Sweepstakes (if any) with all damages or other forms of recovery being expressly waived.


  • If any provision of these Official Rules is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be replaced by a substitute provision that most closely approximates the original intent of Sponsor and is valid, legal and enforceable. The invalidity/illegality/unenforceability of a given provision shall not affect the validity/legality/enforceability of the remainder of these Official Rules.

For the name of winner (first name, last initial; city/state), send a request by e-mail to Sponsor at smartwool_amermarketing@vfc.com. Be sure to put “SMARTWOOL EVENTS SWEEPSTAKES WINNER” in the subject line. Winner list request must be received by Tuesday, May 26, 2026: 11:59 MT.
