Our guarantee process is evolving. To help simplify and speed up our process, we are changing a couple of things:
1. With a focus on improving customer experience & further our sustainability efforts, returning your product will no longer be required* (for US purchases only).
*We reserve the right to request customers to physically return the product and/or provide proof of purchase.
2. If your claim is approved, we will issue digital gift cards as reimbursement. This will help get you into a new product for your next adventure as fast as possible.
To process your claim, just fill out the Smartwool Product Guarantee Form, upload the requested images, and hit send. Then, we’ll contact you with next steps. We want you to get back to running, skiing, and playing in the outdoors as soon as possible.
Please note - Because Smartwool cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers (including unauthorized Internet sites), our guarantee only applies to Smartwool® products purchased directly from Smartwool or our carefully selected network of authorized retailers, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Smartwool thredUP items are also not eligible for our guarantee, as these products were preowned.

Free Return Policy
Smartwool offers free returns within 30 days from the date of purchase. Items must be unused, unwashed, and unaltered.
Store Returns
Return the unworn item(s) to the store where you originally made the purchase for a refund or exchange.
Online Returns
Return unworn item(s) purchased at smartwool.com 30 days from the date of purchase for a complete refund. Initiate a return by accessing your order history and selecting “Return Items."
Refunds may take up to 3-5 weeks to process due to the time often required for shipping and bank processing. Exchanges are not available.
We are currently offering free shipping on orders $89+ placed on smartwool.com.
Shipping based on normal carrier restrictions and delays. We cannot guarantee arrival. Offer is valid for the continental US excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and any US territories, as well as PO Box addresses. Delivery days are Monday-Friday, excluding US federal holidays. Free shipping may not be available for some customers.
